Found this miniature tucked away at the back of my shelf when I was having a clear out the other day, so I decided to painted him up for a bit of fun. I've painted him up as a Blood Angel Veteran as the new codex is due for release in April.

He is on a magnatised gaming base so he can be removed from the resin plinth to battle with.

All comments welcome.

Wil

A solid 8 with an extra +1 from me since it's a Blood Angel. I love the dark red and how you painted the blue helmet. I have NEVER seen a BA devastator that I like before, this one is great.

Another excellent piece Wil...wish I could add him to the cpt Vicenzi I obtained off you. Ajax40k is correct in that Devastors have blue helmets...but not sure about rest. Honour guard have gold helmets and assault squad have yellow...not sure on veterans. I usually do veterans with black helmets. Anyway...it's a great piece regardless

Thanks for the kind comments guys. The highlights on the chips are there but I think are lost in the pics a little. There are bigger shots on the auction, you can see them a little better on there DOH!! I always get fluff mixed up, I blame it on having been a Space Wolf fan for 17 years hehe Like you say he'll work well as a Devastator sgt. signaling the next barrage from the heavy weapons. Cheers, Wil

very nice...i like the dark red you've used...the only thing missing, for me, is a highlight under the chips on the right side (powerfist and leg w/holster)...could just be the pics though...i love this sculpt, and can't wait to paint it someday, when i finally get my hands on one...

Very solid colour scheme and execution with a classic pose. Very nice!
